Bon Marche Department Store

Boise, Idaho

Project Size:
8,054 square feet

Owner:
The Bon Marche

Architect:
William Polk & Associated

CSDI Construction and its subcontractors modified one unoccupied tenant space in the Boise Towne Square Mall, creating a lady's apparel satellite department for The Bon Marché. Another existing tenant store, the men's department was remodeled, adding a shoe sales area and access through The Bon's main store.

The scope of work for these remodels included removing and salvaging the existing fixtures and building the area to be occupied by the women’s formal wear department. The area’s new finishes were complex and included custom painting techniques.

Major construction tasks included cutting and removing a large section of CMU wall, tying the existing smoke evacuation system to a new smoke detection system, adding a new rolling fire coil door, and moving a partition wall three feet to expand the women's area. CSDI was also responsible for purchasing and installing shelving fixtures on the owner's behalf.
