This facility is now the permanent home
for the Idaho State Historical Society’s extensive document and
artifact collection.
Unique features of the structure include a mobile shelving system for easy
access to archived materials and a climate-controlled vault for
large artwork. Loading dock and distribution areas were constructed for
distributing materials to museums throughout the state.
The structure is two stories with 26,583 square feet of warehouse and
office space. The building is constructed of masonry exterior walls, structural
steel, steel joists and is finished with an EIFS exterior and a flexible
